A club for fans of the Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card Game and its various related media series. This club is created with the goal in mind to encourage the building of connections and friendships between fans of the game through in-person club meetings. The club will host a meeting once a week at which current members or any interested newcomers are welcome to join us for a Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card Game tournament. The format of said tournament will be provided in advance of the club meeting date, but by default we will be using TCG Advanced rules. More information for tournament structure will come in the future. The club will have a focus on the competitive aspect of the Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card Game, and this club wishes to build a community at Michigan State University of players of the Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card Game. Multiple members of the club staff have backgrounds of being lifelong Yu-Gi-Oh fans, and each have almost a decade of competitive, tournament-level experience. This long history of experience will be used to help introduce and teach newcomers that are interested in the competitive Yu-Gi-Oh trading card game, or to help current competitive players grow. Information will be provided of local businesses that host other Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments, in addition to other state-wide resources to assist club attendees. Through this club and everything it has to offer, we hope to facilitate an enjoyable Yu-Gi-Oh experience for everyone and to build a community of Yu-Gi-Oh players at MSU.
