Art heals the heart and soul. Visual and performing arts have been used to promote healing and well-being for centuries. We aim to foster a welcoming community that strives to help others through the arts and to bring joy and beauty to those who need it most. We are passionate about giving to organizations that represent the under-served and help those in need in the Greater Boston area. We are also passionate about giving student artists of all skill levels a platform for their work. Our goal is to get as many students with a diversity of interests and majors involved in fulfilling charity events that do not require an extensive time commitment. Art for the Heart facilitates the donation of students’ work to raise funds for various charities with our semester art sales. Each semester the e-board selects different charitable causes to collaborate and fundraise for. Into the performing arts and non-visual art forms? We have plans to incorporate as many art forms as possible into the club mission, and are open to hearing all member suggestions! Passionate about the cause but not into the arts? Art for the Heart hosts numerous student-led opportunities which fundraise for or assist the charities and organizations our club collaborates with. Past events have included putting together care packages for local homeless outreach organizations with personalized notes, member-created art prints, and hygiene products purchased from funds raised by our art sales. We welcome all BU students to join the cause to give back while having fun! <3
