BUAWM works to increase the access that underrepresented groups have to the study of mathematics and to a supportive math community, with a focus on women undergraduate math students (but non-majors are welcome!). We aspire to be an organization that embraces diversity, inclusion, and equity so that our members can enjoy a welcoming, collaborative community. We accomplish this through hosting social, academic, & professional math events, as well as hosting initiatives & projects that promote our mission. These events & projects range from faculty panels to movie nights to collaborating with the departmental Antiracism Speaker Series to an introductory course study-buddy system. We work jointly with MAA.Whether you have a passing interest in mathematics, or a passion for the subject, or an interest in math activism, we'd love to have you!
