BU Baja's goal is to design, manufacture and compete with an off-road Baja vehicle each year. We work to compete each year at the Society of Automotive Engineers' Baja Collegiate Design Competition. These competitions are hosted each year in different locations in the US and attended by teams from universities around the world. Teams at the competition compete against one another in a series of events that test the integrity of the car they built and push it and its driver to their physical limits. Students who participate in BU Baja gain valuable experience in design as well as hands-on work. Students will work with and be trained in SolidWorks, welding, and machining. However, BU Baja is not just a club for engineers - students from all schools can participate. Baja can give students experience in management, finance, and marketing in addition to engineering-related fields. BU Baja is a club for anyone who wants to get real-world experience related to vehicle design, manufacturing, and of course, off-road racing. Interested? Great!
