Dance
Dance Theatre Group, a Boston University student organization established in 1972, is dedicated to building a community that values dance as an art form. Each semester, DTG offers weekly master classes in a variety of genres taught by the professionals in the greater Boston dance community. DTG also produces an end-of-semester performance that showcases student and faculty choreography. Throughout the semester, choreographers meet weekly with their casts and strive to create pieces that focus on non-verbal self-expression. Choreographers are also given the opportunity to benefit from mentor feedback at several points throughout the semester, learning to incorporate suggestions from three mentors with professional dance experience into their pieces. DTG gives its members the chance to not only grow as technicians but to also develop one’s artistic voice. We are BU students that are passionate about dance, and we relish the chance to do what we love and share it with each other and our audience!
