The Fashion and Retail Association (F&R) of Boston University is committed to building a pipeline to the fashion and retail industry through a variety of events and opportunities. It is the ideal outlet for undergraduate BU students who are interested in both creative and professional opportunities in the workforce.Since it was founded in Spring 2004, F&R has grown into a thriving community with over 100 students involved to this day. We are currently in the process of rebranding the association to promote a more inclusive and professional space for students to express themselves and showcase the influence fashion and retail has on campus.Every year, F&R has a calendar packed with events ranging from professional development panels featuring industry experts, a student-run fashion show, guest speakers, company partnerships, and more! These events open the opportunity for students to not only express their creativity but also build a community of like-minded people and show the university all of the hidden talent it has.Our weekly general meetings promote a safe space through activities ranging from educational games that spark conversation, like Kahoot and Jeopardy, to professional development workshops, like Linkedin, cover letter, and resume building.Don’t forget to check out our website for blog posts on the latest fashion news and to learn more about what we do.
