BU Fatakada is Boston University’s premier co-ed Garba-Raas team, featuring top dancers at BU who proudly share their culture with the Boston University community. Garba-Raas, originating from the Indian state of Gujarat, is a traditional folk dance style that has evolved into a competitive dance form due to the efforts of South Asian-American students over the past two decades. We aim to enrich the BU community through our dance and uphold BU’s longstanding presence within the national collegiate Garba-Raas community, as one of the oldest Garba-Raas teams in the circuit.
