Global Brigades is an international nonprofit that empowers communities around the world to meet their health and economic goals through university volunteers. Since water is fundamental for everyday activities, without sufficient clean water the health of entire communities is affected. The engineering chapter focuses on the design and implementation of water systems in rural communities to address these dire needs of families that have little or no access to clean water. Each year GEngB goes on a Brigade in country and/ or virtually to work with communities and local experts to design and implement a clean water system.We also focus on local outreach and attend volunteering events in the Boston area that are involved with food banks, trash clean ups and much more!
