Welcome to Her Financial Future @ Boston University! We started our organization as a safe space to teach all women and non-binary individuals (in all majors) about personal finance and investing. Despite there being Questrom student organizations dedicated to stock trading, finance, and investing, we noticed a need for a club to teach about personal finance and the basics of investing to be welcoming to all. There needs to be a club dedicated to helping students of all majors and backgrounds become more financially independent and literate. Another big reason for starting this club is that we want to create a dedicated space for women to learn about these topics because despite Questrom finance clubs existing, they are primarily male-dominated and it can sometimes feel intimidating as a woman or a non-binary individual to join those clubs despite them trying to be inclusive of all. We want to make a safe space for women and non-binary individuals to learn more about how to sustain themselves financially and just about personal finance in general.
