The Lambda Nu Chapter was colonized in late November of 2004. The group was made up of a diverse group of approximately 30 men with a lofty set of goals to meet in order to be chartered. Over the next year and a half, the colony, under the leadership of President Chase Classen, grew in both size and scope. The chapter was chartered on April 8th, 2006 with 63 brothers. Since receving our charter in the Spring of 2006, the Lambda Nu Chapter has gone on to be recognized as a fraternity at Boston University. We involve ourselves in multiple arenas, inlcuding athletics, philanthropy, community service, and social. Some of our more noted achievements in the past year include approximately 2000 hours of community service and nearly $38,000 raised for charity. In each of our first three years of existence, we won the Fraternity of the Year Award at Boston University. We hope to earn back this tittle by the end of this school year. History of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity The Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity is a Greek letter, secret, college, social fraternity. It was founded at the University of Virginia on March 1, 1868. The Fraternity is composed of men who share similar ideals of friendship, truth, honor, and loyalty. The Fraternity's ideals are expressed in the written words and symbols of a secret ritual. These ideals and members' ability to maintain the visions of the Fraternity's founders are the great moral legacy of Pi Kappa Alpha. More information on the fraternity can be found at www.pikes.org.
