The College of Communication Student Government is the governing undergraduate student body of COM. COM Student Government serves as a liaison for students, faculty, administration, and alumni. Our mission is to promote unity, academically and socially, among all COM students and Boston University:We push to create a better environment for our students and faculty for an everlasting effect.We strive to provide students with an effective voice in COM.Create social media content and web series to promote COM and give students an outlet to create.We plan various events throughout the year with the primary focus of promoting DEI and networking opportunities for all COM students. Some of these events in the past have included COMapalooza, the Commonwealth Film Festival (BU's Student Short Film Festival), the Annual COM Town Hall (a platform for COM students and staff to get engaged in discussion), Cheers and a Chat with Dean DiChristina, and more!Our general meetings are held on a weekly basis and are open to all COM undergraduate students. This Fall 2023, we will have biweekly meetings occurring on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 PM in COM 101. So if you're a COM student looking to get involved, COM Student Government is for you!
