Dance
Founded in the Spring of 2005, Unofficial Project (UPro) is a competitive collegiate dance team at Boston University. Since its debut, UPro has strived to develop diverse experiences for the Boston dance community by promoting the collaboration between different dance backgrounds. UPro aims to bring performances that remain true to their own artistic integrity and showcase the creativity and inspirations of individuals on the team. UPro has performed at various events on campus at Boston University as well as at other colleges around the New England area, including Northeastern University, Wellesley College, Boston College, and MIT. They have participated in various competitions including Elements and Ring The Alarm. In the fall semester, UPro hosts OVRDRV, an annual two-day dance event that includes a showcase with around 15 performing teams and over 500 audience members the first day as well as a series of workshops taught by our headliners the second day. Our last showcase, OVRDRV 13.0 was headlined by Soul Project (Directed by Candace Brown) and David Lee.
