The Synthetic Biology Consortium aims to promote and practice the scientific field of synthetic biology. This will be accomplished in 3 ways: implementing computational and wet-lab projects that either demonstrate or push forward knowledge of synthetic biology, hosting workshops and journal clubs that teach members essential skills for practicing synthetic biology, and setting up social events that help students build a network for future work in the biotechnology industry.
