To assemble a student-led PPE assembly team that utilizes low cost materials to produce large quantities of face shields to donate to homeless shelters and low-income clinics in Skid Row ? the epicenter of homelessness in Los Angeles. Our mission is to alleviate the suffering and disproportionate impact COVID-19 has exerted upon those experiencing homelessness, those of lower socioeconomic status, and communities of color. Through the small act of assembling face shields and sanitation kits, we hope to contribute meaningfully towards protecting homeless health and even community health during this global pandemic. Our activities will include PPE assembly (will be done remotely or with strict social-distancing), fundraising to procure materials (through remote methods), and PPE drop off (remotely by mail).
