BSHA serves to provide guidance to Black students interested in the health sciences, medical education, and allied health fields; facilitates advising and special counseling of students interested in health professions and allied fields; provides students with career-advancing opportunities; provides a forum for the dissemination of information relevant to the education of students interested in health fields; and provides students with opportunities to support the Black community in a health-related manner.
