We are MERGE Labels, a mock music label that is the newest addition to the UC Berkeley music industry. As a music label, our purpose is to allow anyone and everyone to essentially simulate the real music industry. From releasing songs, creating albums, filming music videos, hosting live performances, to our end of the year awards show, we are covering a full holistic approach to what the entertainment business is about. We are looking for music artists, artist managers, producers, songwriters, designers, filmmakers, and anyone else interested in the industry of all levels in every field, from beginner to advanced. To all those who apply, we will be pairing up everyone into groups known as “subunits.” All subunits will have at least an artist and a manager, leading us to “merge” these different positions together, hence our name. Our name also stands for: “Music Exploration Receptive to Genres and Engagement,” since we are open to all genres and we encourage collaboration, networking, and utilizing different strengths to create a grand product. We welcome you to join this organization on our rise to success, stardom, and growth.
