Cal Japan Club brings the Japanese student community together by providing networking, socializing, and career opportunities to Japanese, Japanese-American, and any other students involved with Japanese language or culture. We are a club open to everyone!
Open to anyone involved or interested in Japanese culture, we aim to create an inclusive space for the Japanese community and beyond, providing support through social and preprofessional career events.
The official language of CJC is Japanese. However, as most of our social and career events provide English translations, we hope this will not deter any future members from joining our events!
Our Social Team traditionally hosts the following events every semester; 1st General Meeting, Welcome Back Party, Halloween Party (Fall Semester), and the End of Semester Banquet. This year, we hope to host smaller and more intimate events in order to stay connected with our members on an individual basis.
Our Career Team specializes in providing support for Japan-specific career opportunities. On top of host panel discussions, on-campus company info sessions, and career workshops, we also focus on providing and sharing information related to recruitment in Japan, as well as hosting an in-person job-related events.
