MissionThe Stanford Black Student Union (BSU) is a social, cultural, and political organization primarily concerned with the continual improvement of life for Black students at Stanford. Originally founded in 1967, the BSU has been instrumental in spurring many imaginative changes in the Black community. We organize programs such as Black Convocation, the Black Love concert, and our youth empowerment conference to celebrate, uplift, and center Black voices. Anyone interested in getting involved is welcome to join one of our many committees, which include Political Action, Social-Celebrations, and Community Service among others. Whether you are involved as an intern or general member, the BSU is a space for all Black students, and we are committed to promoting unity and inclusion and building a community of care.
