MissionThe LSJUMB seeks to provide a musical experience that is inclusive, accessible, and exciting for members new to their instruments as much as those who are more experienced. Members of the LSJUMB commit to a mindset of musical growth and community support, as well as to uphold the Band Norms and ValuesIn performance, the LSJUMB is a scatter band, performing on the field, in rallies, and at campus and community events. The music of the LSJUMB is student-arranged and not restricted to any particular genre or subject to any external approval other than relevant and required licensing.Membership Benefits- we'll teach you to play any instrument you want - heck, you could even learn TWO instruments, maybe even more.- free instrument use from the day you join to the day you graduate- free trips to NCAA events- free food at said NCAA events (we actually get free food at most of our events, so bring some napkins)- each member, upon joining, will receive the highly coveted "band hat"- and finally, what seems to be the biggest benefit of any Stanford org, "The PeopleÔäó"
