Career Development & Networking
Foresight Pre-Optometry Club is a student-run organization that seeks to unite UC Berkeley students and individuals around the area who are interested in pursuing a career in the field of optometry. We teach members the necessary skills and we provide members with the necessary tools to shape them into more knowledgeable applicants. We hold various events such as optometry school presentations, detailed workshops on the application process and strategies for tackling the OAT, and socials to allow members the opportunity to meet peers and potential optometry school classmates. We educate our members on the current issues facing the growing field of optometry, and we encourage individuals to volunteer to better prepare them for a career in providing eye care for their community. Foresight aims to create a network between the members of the club and current optometrists by keeping strong connections with professors and alumni.
