"GeoWall at Berkeley is the geotechnical engineering competition team. Our mission is to enrich the social, educational, and professional college experience of all civil engineering students with interest in geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering.
Our organization focuses on designing and building small-scale model mechanically stabilized Earth (MSE) retaining systems, completely out of paper, that will hold over 500lbs of sand and applied design loads! Our team competes in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Mid-Pacific Conference and the National Geo-Institute Conference.
We offer hands-on activities that students would normally not be able to obtain in a traditional class setting and apply knowledge they do learn in class. The team also offers leadership positions which allow students to build leadership skills and communication skills as well."
