MissionThe Pride Club at Stanford University is dedicated to promoting acceptance, understanding, and visibility of the LGBTQ+ community on campus through education, advocacy, and community building. We strive to create a safe and inclusive environment for all students, and work to break down barriers and challenge discrimination in all its forms. The organization is open to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning undergraduate students and allies.To achieve this, we will host a variety of events such as:-Educational workshops on LGBTQ+ history and issues-Speakers series featuring LGBTQ+ leaders and activists-Social events to foster community and create visibility among undergraduates-Advocacy campaigns and events to raise awareness about LGBTQ+ rights and equity-Ally trainings to support and empower allies within the student body-Participation in the annual pride parade and other LGBTQ+ events in the surrounding Bay area.Membership is open and confidential. For those who are out, Pride aims to grow the community's visible presence on campus.
