MissionThe Stanford Optical Society aims to:• Promote awareness of optics and optical engineering among the academic and localcommunities• Encourage interaction and the exchange of ideas between Stanford students and thegreater optics community• Serve as a means of communication and interaction between students, faculty, staff,and administration• Establish interaction between Stanford students and the Optical Society of America(OSA) and SPIE, the International Society for Optics and Photonics• Broaden student awareness of post-graduation opportunities in optics and photonics.
