Mission
Alzheimer's Buddies at UCI (ABUI) is a volunteer organization open to students interested in interacting with and forming relationships with individuals who have Alzheimer's disease living in memory care facilities. This organization is committed to leading the intergenerational movement responding to the social isolation and disengagement experienced by people in the intermediate to late stages of Alzheimer's Disease. Volunteers will have the opportunity to interact 1-on-1 with a buddy through activities and conversation.
