The mission of the UCI Department of Physiology & Biophysics is to provide an environment which provides leadership and excellence in teaching and research.
Biomedical/basic science research programs are conducted to evaluate and contribute to the medical scientific knowledge of the disciplines of physiology and biophysics.
The educational program encompasses graduate students, medical students, undergraduate students and faculty participation in training preeminent scholars and postgraduate researchers.
