Mission
Flying Samaritans is an undergraduate, student-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization at University of California, Irvine. We are committed to facilitating the service efforts of The Flying Samaritans, Inc., a registered non-profit corporation.

Students, physicians, dentists, optometrists, pilots, and other healthcare practitioners travel monthly to medical clinics located throughout Mexico to provide free, quality healthcare to those who would otherwise lack access.

Healthcare is provided to the people living in the rural areas outside of Tecate, Mexico in our student-run clinic, Clinica Jose Lemus Lopez Heroes del Desierto Mexico in El Testerazo. At our clinic, our members have the opportunity to assist in administrating, translating, and taking vital signs. Furthermore, students are able to witness the clinic flow and view different aspects of primary care from: intake, assessment, diagnosis, and discharge. Our members can experience healthcare and immerse themselves in another culture firsthand, both of which are incredibly educational and rewarding.
