Mission
International Student Excellence Programs promotes excellence among our international student population through a robust peer mentorship program, individual success coaching, access to resources and opportunities to engage with faculty and alumni with the aim of developing global scholars and leaders.
Core Services:
Manages International Peer Group Scholars Program (IPG) which matches first-year international students with trained peer mentors
Coordinates Global Leaders (GL) which is a research development program for upperclass international students
Provides internships for Peer Mentors and Mentor Coordinators who receive on-going training and professional development
Provides academic monitoring and individual academic success coaching/counseling for program participants
Provides IPG and GL Scholars with access to LARC sponsorships, Zot Initiative (SSI) workshops and ISEP programs that promote community and academic excellence
Coordinates the Intercultural Communication at UCI Workshop Series in collaboration with Academic English
Facilitates opportunities for international students to interact with Faculty and Alumni and learn about research and scholarship opportunities
Facilitates an international student leadership seminar
