Mission
Our mission is to help educate and prepare students for the physician assistant profession. We strive to assist members in gaining more knowledge about the profession, application process, and various healthcare experiences. In addition to our networking opportunities, we host workshops, community service events, fundraisers, and socials to create a supportive environment for pre-PA students.
Membership Benefits
The club membership benefits are as follows:
- PACT Merchandise: Club t-shirt, stickers
- PACT Handbook: A resource full of various U.S. Physician Assistant school profiles, requirements (with the UCI course equivalents), and statistics
- HCE/PCE/Community Service Hours Tracking Sheets Templates
- Monthly Medical-related/Career-based Workshops (e.g. suture workshops, vitals workshops, laparoscopic module workshops)
- Priority access to job, internship, volunteer, and shadowing opportunities with limited capacity
- PACT Mentorship Program: A program that connects our active members with certified physician assistants (PA-C) or physician assistant students (PA-S) to offer guidance, experience, and most importantly, support on their PA journey. Mentors are expected to help with any questions regarding the profession as well as provide connections for potential job, shadowing, and letter of recommendation opportunities
- PACT HighSchool Outreach Program: A program that educate high school students about the
Physician Assistant profession, encourage community and collaboration among UCI
pre-PA students, provide personalized educational and career-oriented guidance,
create opportunities for them to develop and foster an interest in pursuing a career in
healthcare.
