Indian Students Association at Berkeley is an on-campus student organization conceived with the objective of representing the South Asian Diaspora and the Indo-American community on the UC Berkeley campus.

The council is composed of ~30 individuals dedicated to designing, marketing, financing, and coordinating events spreading and celebrating South Asian culture with the Berkeley community. Our grandest events include the largest "Green" Holi on the West coast, Diwali and Raas-Garba. These events are highly anticipated by the Berkeley community and receive upwards of 2,000 people in total.

Apart from these events, we host “cross-cultural conversations” via mixers with Sikh Student Association, Nigerian Student Association, Pakistani Student Association and more so that members are able to make connections and learn about the wide range of cultures at Berkeley. We also recognize the power of our voice on campus and host panels, social justice events, and speakers with a diverse range of backgrounds to speak on issues that affect the South Asian experience globally. Diversity and inclusion is a staple of ISA and something that we strive toward with our events and actions.

Check out our social media/website to either join the council or join our general member program with exclusive access to our events & a community that awaits you!
