Mission
Sigma Pi Alpha is a Chicana/Latina Sorority. It was founded in the Spring of 1996 at the University of California at Berkeley by nine women who saw the need to create a close network of Chicana/Latinas - Chicana/Latinas who want to make a difference in the community starting with themselves. Sigma Pi Alpha addresses the academic, cultural, communal, and social needs of its members. We pride ourselves on three pillars which are: campus involvement, community service, and sisterhood. We believe "you choose us, we don't choose you".
