International & Multicultural
A relatively new organization at Cal, the IRC was formed out of a union between five different IR orgs on campus. Our goal is to consolidate interest in IR by making knowledge, events, and opportunities in the vast field of international relations widely available and easily accessible to the campus community. We seek to engage the Berkeley community holistically on topics of international affairs including foreign service, international politics, diplomacy, human rights and academia. We achieve this by hosting various career oriented events, our Globe Bears Podcast, publishing a biweekly newsletter, and by active news generation and discussion.
In essence, IRC provides a platform for students of all backgrounds to come together to discuss current international affairs and engage in meaningful development opportunities all while fostering a community of inclusion.
