The Latin American Leadership Society is made up of people from very diverse backgrounds. What unites us is our profound interest in Latin America, be it the current political and economical scene, the region’s rich culture and traditions, or the growing influence of Latin American communities in the United States.
LLS members are students from Latin America who aim to eventually return to their respective countries to contribute to the development of the region, students born in the US of Latin American descent interested in finding a community, and non-Latin students who simply posses a great interest in the region and wish to be part of the growing, continent-wide LLS network.
LLS has the mission of providing students with opportunities to create professional networks and personal bonds, through social events, career development programs, and community service among other activities. We also promote engagement in discussion about topics concerning Latin America in relation to leadership, policy and entrepreneurship.
Our vision for LLS is for it to achieve recognition in Latin America for the exemplary leadership and contributions of its alumni. We think of LLS as the first chapter of a long list of initiatives nationwide.
