MissionSKATE for Girls Illinois serves as a platform to empower young women through theintegration of figure skating and STEM education, with a focus on mathematics. Our mission isto provide students with the opportunity to develop both athletic and academic skills in asupportive and inclusive environment. We run weekly programs that include skating lessons,tutoring sessions, and mentoring opportunities for middle school students. We aim to inspireconfidence, foster leadership, and promote the pursuit of STEM fields among girls on campusand in the community. By offering mentorship, tutoring, and skating workshops, SKATE forGirls Illinois seeks to build a community where students can excel both on the ice and in theclassroom.
