MissionWe work closely with Champaign-Urbana Democratic Socialists of America (CU DSA) tofoster political engagement among youth in the Champaign-Urbana area, especiallythose attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). UIUC YDSAshall organize campus and community rallies, host talks on a variety of political, socialand economic topics, engage in community service, and facilitate grassrootsorganization in support of just and equitable society. Within and throughout this struggle,we will articulate and defend the idea that true human liberation is impossible undercapitalism. We seek social change which extends democracy into all aspects oflife—social, political and economic. This is the struggle for democratic socialism. Ourvision of socialism is profoundly democratic, feminist, and anti‐racist.
