Dance
Caroline Kim and Trisha Mitra founded The [M]ovement in the fall of 1999. They began with a vision of bringing together a diverse group of people sharing a passion for dance. Starting with only 20 members, the group has expanded to over 100 members introducing different styles of hip-hop, jazz, and swing to the UC Berkeley campus.
Aside from having free workshops on Upper/Lower Sproul, The [M]ovement also hosts semesterly showcases (which are highly attended and anticipated!) to highlight the hard work of our dancers and choreographers.
Despite our continued growth, [M]ovement members work to cultivate a supportive environment for all dancers; we have endless love for our dancers and welcome all to be a part of our fa[m].
