Mission
The purpose of this organization is to educate Latin@/e individuals on politics, laws, and social structures that continually affect our lives and those in our minoritized communities. Through education we also seek to emphasize representation within the professional spectrum in order to advocate for the needs of oppressed and subjugated communities. Students will learn about their legal rights and the various policies that compose laws. Moreover, we aim to empower Latin@/e and any minoritized individuals by preparing them for the professional world. Through such empowerment we seek to rebuild the unequal social, political, and economic structures that compose our contemporary politics. In many situations, Latin@/e individuals (specifically first-gen) are discouraged from aiming for high achievements such as higher education or financial investing due to little or no knowledge about the subjects. Thus, we will focus on the importance of politics, as through them is where change is imposed. Most importantly, as minoritized young adults we must be aware of our rights, in order to mitigate the violations of the legal system. The purpose of this organization is to prepare first-generation students for the professional worlds and to encourage them to seek professional careers, through the basis of a tight-knit community. We want to teach each other to use our voice for our people. Ignorance is a violent element and education is a life tool.
