The purpose of BSAC is:
Peer Advising and Mentoring – to promote a general education about the Biology degree and related opportunities at Georgia Tech to current, incoming, and prospective students, including but not limited to: Biology Peer Advisors, FASET Advisors,
Biology Mentors and Peers (BioMAPs)
Networking and Professional Development– to host events and guest speakers that enable a forum of exchange among members of the Biology community, and to support undergraduate Biology students in their career goals through events such as
BioDiscover and the Spring Social.
Prospective Student Outreach and Recruitment – to support high school students who are interested in the Biology major at Georgia Tech, including Biology Student Ambassadors
Advisory Feedback to the School – to provide insights to school leadership such as feedback on instructional faculty candidates and programmatic concerns to students
