The purpose of ECO at Georgia Tech is to:
Enhance and develop recycling practices within the College of Design workspaces and reducing waste in wasteful environments.
Provide education and environmentally responsible alternatives to the materials used within the School of Architecture and School of Industrial Design maker spaces (studios, woodshops, workshops, Digital Fabrication Laboratory).
Develop educational resources and events for students within the College of Design on green design certifications, green design tools, eco-conscious material resources, and industry leading environmental trends.
Connect to the community outside of Georgia Tech to teach and share green design ideas, materials, and knowledge through interactive design activities and talks.
Foster environmental, physical, and mental wellness within the College of Design design ecosystem.
