We the students, who form the International Affairs Student Organization at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, focus on these significant goals:
To promote global awareness on the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology;
To foster greater engagement among students, between each other, and between themselves and the faculty of the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, especially such students pursuant of a degree in the field of international affairs;
To promote sustained relationships and communication channels between current students and alumni of the Sam Nunn School; to create a dedicated alumni network which allows alumni to interact with each other and with Georgia Tech following their graduation; to engage students in career opportunities and skills that may be gained through alumni knowledge, and to reduce barriers that interfere with obtaining professional opportunities facilitated through alumni interactions (e.g., scholarships funded through the alumni association);
To keep the campus internationally aware through the sponsorship of visiting lectures, the promotion of campus-wide activities, collaboration with the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, and programs that foster international awareness for all;
To become better informed individuals about international events, situations, and topics;
To work with other campus organizations to further our above goals.
