Social Justice
Junior STEM is an organization that aims to encourage and facilitate student involvement in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) initiatives to promote and increase the retention of underrepresented students and minorities in STEM careers. Many of our initiatives are bidirectional in order to impact students on-campus as well as students in local K-12 schools. Our organization volunteers weekly with local K-12 schools by demonstrating and working with STEM related concepts. We also volunteer at STEM fairs and other STEM related events such as Lego Robotics Competitions, Science Olympiad, Future Tech, Middle Grades Events, etc. We also host our own Step into STEM event, a large fair where K-12 students get hands on experience with STEM and learn more about the possibilities in the evergrowing field.
