Punjabi Art Collective
Arts
Punjabi Art Collective historically emerges from the long lineage of Punjabi art that was once produced in Punjab, disseminated, re-owned, and spread across the diaspora. In response to the lack of ownership of our historical art that exists in the West, PAC seeks to reassert and recenter Punjabi art.

PAC was a small idea initially thought of by Tanvi Saran who met Jashdeep Dhillon whereby they distilled this idea into a zine and “Sikhs of Berkeley” in 2019. Later upon developing a relationship with Mehnaz Grewal, Punjabi Art Collective received its name and took off in 2020. In 2020 PAC hosted its first meeting, in 2022 PAC hosted its first in-person art exhibition.

As PAC grows older we hope for our Punjabi community to continue to inform PAC history and celebrate Punjabi art.

PAC Principles

1. No barriers of entry
2. Zero experience necessary
3. No art experience or art interest required
4. Just gotta be Punjabi
