The Supersonics Club at Georgia Tech purpose is to bring the design, analysis, optimization, building, and testing high-speed aircraft systems into the hands of Georgia Tech students. We have plans to bring different vehicle configurations to their physical form. Our first goal is to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest remote-control jet-powered plane, currently set at 462 mph. This program will continually iterate the Record Breaker vehicles to try and break our own record for years to come. From here, we will work to become the first student-led collegiate team to build an aircaft capable of breaking the sound barrier, by any means necessary.
