Social Justice
The mission statement of GT ALCSI shall be to promote awareness for lung cancer screening for individuals at high-risk of developing lung cancer at Georgia Tech and the larger local community through educational efforts, community outreach, and health literacy engagement. Activities may include advocating for Congress members to support a lung cancer bill, reforming lung cancer screening curriculum at local medical schools, presenting to various stakeholders to build awareness, and working with local health departments to bring actionable change to the local communities.
