The Women, Science, and Technology (WST) Learning Community offers members opportunities to connect with one another and faculty through dinners, campus receptions, research panels, and other events and initiatives related to the academic and career success of women students. The first learning community on the Georgia Tech campus, the WST Learning Community was founded in 2000 with a small group of women undergraduates living in Hopkins. It is now located in Stein House/4th St. A and Goldin House/4th St. B and includes 48 undergraduate and graduate women students. Students interested in joining the WST Learning Community and living in Stein or Goldin should contact WST Co-Director Carol Colatrella via email: carol.colatrella@lmc.gatech.edu
The Center for the Study of Women, Science and Technology (WST) at Georgia Tech sponsors the WST Learning Community. This center promotes the recruitment, retention, and advancement of female students and faculty in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), and related fields. The WST Center welcomes faculty, staff, and students interested in issues of gender, science, and technology in research and programmatic initiatives. Our many activities and initiatives include:
