Fraternities
Sigma Epsilon Omega (SEO), UC Berkeley’s only queer fraternity, provides students of all genders a unique opportunity to be included in a safe space focused around respect, community, and acceptance. Founded by three students at UC Berkeley, SEO has continued to break barriers and stereotypes of both the queer and Greek communities.

SEO recently celebrated its ten year anniversary, and we already have incredible accomplishments under our belt. While SEO started in 2007 with an alpha class of 23 brothers, we now have over 130 siblings, both current students and alumni, challenging norms and succeeding in their fields around the world.

As siblings, we aim to improve our community by getting involved in various philanthropy and activism events by raising money, creating awareness, and participating in volunteer work. We seek to foster and maintain a siblinghood that is based on individual and collective strength, equality, and opportunity. We strive to provide an exciting and vibrant social space specifically for queer, trans, and gay folks.
