Apricity Magazine (www.apricitymagazine.com) is the official literary and arts journal of The University of Texas at Austin. We are a nonprofit, international, multimedia literary and arts magazine run by undergraduate students. We also feature interviews of people who have significantly championed the humanities. Our submissions come from an all encompassing international and national base. We welcome poetry/prose submissions and visual/performing art submissions!
We compete at the Columbia Scholastic Press Association's (CSPA) Collegiate Crown Awards and the Associated Collegiate Press Pacemaker Awards. UT's last CSPA crown award for magazines was in 1989 and gold crown for magazines in 1987. In 2017, we were awarded a CSPA Third Place Gold Circle for Design of a Single Spread. In 2019, we received a CSPA Gold Crown and 2nd Place Cover Design Apple Award for Volume II. In 2024, we were awarded two CSPA Columbia Gold Circle Awards for Design Portfolios and Best Artistic Organization from the UT Office of the Dean of Students.
