We started Austin Compassion Collective to start a student organization focused on tangible service to the Austin community and creating a tight-knit community. We both had prior experiences with service related orgs, but we were both dissatisfied in that often the service felt indirect and disconnected. It was mostly one off events with no consistency. We seek to make this organization have a real impact on the Austin community. We will be committed to consistent service projects at the same areas and same times of the week, close to every week. We believe in sticking to a goal and getting to know the people involved in that goal, with a specific tangible result we can point to.
