Chi Kappa Phi Service Society is a Co-Ed organization established to serve our campus and the surrounding Austin community. We hope to inspire a lifelong dedication to philanthropic service by fostering friendships strengthened through a tradition of scholarship and leadership. By doing so, we seek to contribute to our community by facilitating each member’s journey to discover and develop their own philanthropic interests. We will do this by providing numerous service opportunities throughout the school year, especially emphasizing one of our main philanthropies: Oak Springs Elementary School. Working closely with Oak Springs since Chi Kappa Phi's inception has been rewarding in many ways. Through collaborative efforts, we work to provide the necessary support and assistance for the school to develop the minds of young leaders. Understanding the importance of education and community involvement, our goal is to establish a healthy working relationship with the school and be able to coordinate a mentor program, as well. Each year, our new class (called the Peep Class) organizes a creative event to benefit an organization or cause of their choosing. This class project is designed to allow each new member to directly impact our community through philanthropy while learning valuable management, communication, research, and creative skills. Along with uniting the new class, this project will raise awareness for the chosen organization or cause as well as increase our service society’s presence on the campus and in the city community.
