Dead Improv Society is a comedy performance organization dedicated to improvement and excellence in Comedy. This includes creating spaces for both more socially-focused new members to learn and grow, and more experienced players to hone their skills in a more committed and professional capacity. The Society emphasizes comedy education and literacy through failure, community and genuine curiosity. We consist of two interdependent groups, a Main Stage and a Second Stage, committed to performing comedy with a special emphasis on live performance and longform improv. Players practice 1-2 times a week, in addition to hosting Shows and events. DIS strives to be a supportive, tight-knit group of skilled improvisors, working hard to develop community, trust, and mastery.
