e-NABLE at UT Austin encourages students to take advantage of the 3D printing resources on the UT Austin. The members will first learn how to print the prosthetics. Then, members will interact with amputees in order to get hand measurements and thus work on an individualized hand. Each recipient gets his or her hand for free! In a couple years, e-NABLE at UT Austin will be working on improving the designs themselves. Hopefully this organization will reduce the financial and logistic burden amputation places on tens to hundreds of families.
